Over the last few years, the global capacity for additive manufacturing has grown tremendously, and in the process it has opened new opportunities for investment in secondary processes. This presentation will explore the expansion of secondary finishing options available for additive manufacturing and how they enable new opportunities to use additive for production. The focus will include using vapor smoothing for plastic, and dry electropolishing for metal printed parts. These increasingly popular processes for additive parts allow for premium finishes that rival traditional manufacturing.
